Asheville Destination Wedding Photography - Crest Center Pavilion Wedding

I adore sweet summer weddings in Asheville, North Carolina.  As the greens get richer, fading from the early spring bright shades and the rhododendron bloom, romance is in the air.  The lilac-y purples of the rhodo blooms just happen to be the perfect complement to this couple's wedding colors. With nature and everything else on their side, Gretchen and David's wedding day was nothing short of spectacular.  Bright purples and pinks accented by rich grays, contrasting against the classic white linens in the pavilion, filling the space with the fun classy style of this unique couple.  Studio Flora Diva created unique tablescapes of all heights (some towering!) throughout the reception space.  Tiffany's Baking Company created the three-dimensional butterfly themed cake.  The ceremony site overlooking the mountains on a clear day offered the most amazing views.
Gretchen's curly red hair was adorned with a flower and her timeless gown of layered lace was stunning on her.  Grays and purples on the wedding party - men in classic grey suits with purple ties, ladies in purple dresses and the bride's purple shoes, all complementing the theme colors.  Their beautiful ceremony ended with butterflies being released as they kissed.  The couple ate, danced and played into the night celebrating the newlyweds, ending the evening with a sparkler exit.  Even the moon put on a show - shining brightly over downtown Asheville.
Big thanks to M7 and the Crest Center staff for always taking great care of all the guests.  Love working with WNC Video Productions - always a pleasure!
Adore this couple and their day!  Here are some of our favorite shots from their wedding day:

Asheville Wedding Photography - Kelly and Reid's Downtown Asheville Wedding

Reid and Kelly's colorful wedding day was a perfect complement to this music loving couple.  They filled the day with joyous celebration accompanied by awesome music.  The wedding party got ready at the Haywood Park Hotel in downtown Asheville, NC, loaded into a Asheville Historic Trolley wandering around town for pre-wedding photos.  The ceremony was at Pack Square, with the bridesmaids and groomsmen in classic black dresses with bright, rainbow colored parasols for the ladies and the men were in black suits from Men's Wearhouse with a myriad of vest colors and tye-dye socks.  Kelly's dress carried the rainbow theme as well, with a timeless satin gown accented by her mother with rainbow tulle at the bottom.  Her hair was pulled into a gorgeous sweeping side ponytail full of curls by Echo at Salon Red.  A spectacular orchid from Shady Grove florist was placed in Kelly's hair as the perfect accent her lotus back tattoo.  Her rings are from Jewels that Dance and necklace/earrings from Elementality.

After the vows and ceremony in the heart of downtown Asheville, the couple kissed and Asheville Second Line Jazz emerged from behind the stage and led the party across the square to Pack's Tavern with a Mardi Gras style parade. They all danced outside of Packs to the New Orleans Jazz then the party headed upstairs to the Century Room for the reception.  Phunkle Sam came on the stage covering Grateful Dead tunes and keeping the music fueled energy pumping and the dance floor filled.  The bride's mother created the amazing paper flowers that adorned the cake and reception decor.  Truly the most colorful, detail filled day that could not have been more fun.   Thank you, Kelly and Reid, for having me capture such a special time for you and your families.  :)
